This year’s Teen Tech Week is all about making! The rise of new technologies means kids can 3D print, repurpose, and craft from all kinds of materials. Knowledge of coding and technology is becoming more and more important, but so is problem-solving, creativity, and flexibility.
On Tuesday, March 8, teens can use the LEGO WeDo kits to make their own bots. They’ll be given instructions to create a LEGO bot of their own, and they’ll use the WeDo software to program it. They’ll also get to play with Scratch, a programming language designed by MIT, to interface with the bots, allowing them to step into a broader field of programming.
The program starts at 4:00 PM and is for ages 12 and up. No registration is required for the events. For more information, contact Ellen at 281-890-2665.
